The role of Senior Director of Employee Health Services (EHS) provides strategic, clinical, and operational leadership for all employee health functions across the organization. You will oversee occupational health programs, pre-employment/post-employment and annual medical assessments, exposure management, vaccination compliance, workplace safety, and the governance of all EHS physical and digital health files. Specifically,
- Develop and execute organizational EHS strategy; lead modernization initiatives including digitization, workflow redesign, and governance of physical/electronic health records; establish service standards for compliance/employee experience
- Oversee all pre-employment and ongoing medical screenings, assessments, and clearances; manage Return-to-Work processes for illness/injury/exposure with documentation/compliance with OSHA, ADA, HR, and union requirements
- Coordinate vaccination programs and exposure management; ensure compliance with OSHA, CDC, CMS, DOH, Joint Commission, HIPAA, and ADA
- Oversee secure maintenance of all EHS files with proper confidentiality and retention; develop metrics, dashboards, and trend analyses
- Lead/develop multidisciplinary clinical/administrative team; provide clinical oversight to RNs, PAs, MDs; ensure competency through education, performance reviews, and training (documentation standards and compliance)
- Serve as liaison to HR, Safety, Risk Management, Legal, and Infection Control; lead multidisciplinary initiatives
We require:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and hold current license to practice professional nursing in NYS.
- Registered Nurse Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner License)
- ACLS & BCLS
- Board Certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANP/AANPCB)
- 7–10+ years of progressive leadership within employee health, occupational health, infection prevention, or a clinical setting.
- Experience leading teams and implementing workforce health programs in a large, complex organization.
- Strong clinical knowledge of occupational health protocols, exposure management, and infectious disease prevention.
- Deep understanding of OSHA, CDC, DOH, CMS, Joint Commission, HIPAA, ADA, and related regulatory requirements.
- Ability to manage sensitive medical information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, team-building & project management skills.
- Proficiency in EHR systems.
Salary: $170K - $190K/yr.
