Phoenix Cardiac Surgery, PC, is a hybrid private practice and academic group consisting of 8

surgeons and 3 APPs. We are the exclusive providers of cardiothoracic surgical services for

Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix located in downtown Phoenix, AZ, a 750+ bed

medical center, and the flagship hospital for the Banner Health organization, as well as Banner

Estrella Medical Center , a community based program in Western Phoenix. The practice is

seeking 2 Cardiothoracic surgical APPs to join our growing practice. Applicants must be Board

Certified (NCCPA/ACNP +RNFA, or PA.C.) and preferably with more than 2 years experience in

Cardiothoracic Surgery. The positions for now are entirely inpatient based and responsible for

seeing consultations, 1st assisting in the operating room and postoperative care.

Our hybrid format allows us to actively engaged in academic affairs that include training

cardiothoracic surgical fellows, general surgical residents, medical students, and physician

assistant students. We are active with clinical research and participate in multiple highly sought

after national IDE clinical trials. We are active in publications of scholarly work in numerous

peer review journals. The group has a long history of excellent mentorship of new graduates as

well as early career providers to help them develop into mature and confident professionals. We

foster an environment that is both collegial and supportive of new associates.

Our medical center is tasked with treating the most complicated cardiac patients in the state of

Arizona and beyond. We are the busiest cardiac transplant program in the state and one of the

busiest TAH programs in the world. We have the distinction of implanting the third Bivacor TAH

in the world as part of the national IDE trial. We draw from referrals throughout the state and are

one of the busiest Cardiothoracic surgical programs in Arizona.
