Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION
The provider delivers comprehensive, team-based care to support the health and well-being of pediatric patients, addressing medical, developmental, emotional, and educational needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide direct patient care 
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records (history, immunizations, medications, screenings, and care plans)
• Perform physical exams, developmental and behavioral screenings, and risk assessments
• Order and manage labs, diagnostics, medications, and referrals
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, prevention, and healthy behaviors
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team-based care delivery
• Share on-call responsibilities 
• Support staff training and maintain professional development

Requirements

• Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP)
• Active North Carolina NP license and prescriptive authority
• Minimum 2+ years of pediatric clinical experience preferred
• Strong clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills
• Experience with electronic medical records (e.g., eClinicalWorks preferred)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based, patient-centered environment
• Commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based care
